Don Giovanni at the Lyric

Following his greatly acclaimed house debut at Chicago’s Lyric Opera in Heggie’s Dead Man Walking, Ryan McKinny goes on to star as the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni on December 3, 5 and 8.

He last sang the role of the seducer in Houston for which Opera News praised his “layered, troubled Don Giovanni who could delicately croon, darkly menace or indignantly patter to suit the moment at hand”.

In the Chicago performances he’s joined by a stellar cast, including Matthew Rose as his frustrated servant Leporello, Rachel Willis-Sørensen as the tormented Donna Anna, Amanda Majeski as the fiery Donna Elvira, Ying Fang as the impressionable Zerlina and Ben Bliss as the devoted Don Ottavio. James Gaffigan conducts.
